But that wasn't the only news out of Gamescom this week, another Bethesda title is going multiplatform, old franchises are returning, and new adaptations are unexpectedly coming! Also, don't go after actors for roles they play, they aren't really those characters! Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine continues to break records, Indiana Jones's hat sells for over $600k, and The Acolyte is sent packing. Nic Cage, now here's a guy, will be playing John Madden, and forget the chicken sandwich war, Chick-fil-a is jumping into the streaming wars.

You read that correctly, the state of the gaming world is unreal, as in Unreal Engine. As the GDC is fully underway, there was still a lot of news to get through. From Epic games having their state of Unreal, to Saber Interactive breaking free from Embracers embrace, to the failure of the PSVR 2, and Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection taking a nosedive. Also Popeye, The Cat in the Hat, and The Never Ending Story are all making some kind of comeback, The Acolyte gets its first trailer, and Dune Pt. 2 continues to sizzle as the box office. That and a whole lot more.

Meanwhile The Thunderbolts loses several stars, Supergirl is found, Denis Villeneuve has plans for Dune 3. We also got the game awards last week, over 20 new games announced, most of which had no release dates, Baldur's Gate 3 was the big winner, no surprises. We also saw the announcement of several movies, and the release of several trailers for big upcoming sequels. Barbie and Succession dominate the Golden Globe Nominees, and we lost a great star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Got a bit of a doozy this week, Sony scrubs all mention of the KotoR Remake from their socails, and acts like its perfectly normal, several Ubisoft execs were arrested by French Police, and the French Govt. raids Nvidia, its a bad day to be in the French gaming industry. As the writers get back to work, SAG meets with the studios to try and negotiate their deal, as streamers seek to increase their rates yet again. Also we have a review of the Ahsoka season finale, as well as Gareth Edward's The Creator. We wrap up the show with our last list of 80s movies, this week, Drama.

Activision pulled the lid off of the Modern Warfare III, Atari is trying to make another comeback, and oh yeah, Microsoft is selling Activision streaming rights to Ubisoft. Meanwhile in Hollywoodland, the WGA continue their strike and call out the big three, Disney announces a slew of physical releases for digital only shows, and Ahsoka is the best live action Star Wars show, full stop. Plus I give my honest opinion about my top 10 favorite 80s movies.
