Yes that's right, I'm declaring an end to the console wars, and its end comes with Forza heading to PS5. They end not with a bang, but a whimper. Also Multiversus fails to capture any market share from Super Smash Bros, and is shutting down after a year. Both Fantastic Four and Jurassic World Rebirth drop some serious trailers. And EA faces and interesting future. While Disney+ loses almost a million subs, and Buffy is returning to a screen near you.

Episode 306: The state of the gaming industry is Unreal

You read that correctly, the state of the gaming world is unreal, as in Unreal Engine. As the GDC is fully underway, there was still a lot of news to get through. From Epic games having their state of Unreal, to Saber Interactive breaking free from Embracers embrace, to the failure of the PSVR 2, and Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection taking a nosedive. Also Popeye, The Cat in the Hat, and The Never Ending Story are all making some kind of comeback, The Acolyte gets its first trailer, and Dune Pt. 2 continues to sizzle as the box office. That and a whole lot more.

Meanwhile Star Trek Lower Decks returns in tip top form, The Bad Batch ends with a major nod to legends, and What If, knocks it out of the part with its animation. Meanwhile, Free Guy is one of the funniest films to see this summer.
